Academic Projects
Water Chemistry Simulation Project :
• Objective: To simulate the removal of CO₂ and precipitation of magnesium from seawater using acid and base titration methods.
• Methods: Utilized PHREEQC software to model and simulate the effects of sulfuric acid titration to lower pH and sodium hydroxide titration to precipitate magnesium.
• Results: Successfully calculated the required quantities of sulfuric acid (0.00136 mol) and air volume (15.15 L) for CO₂ reduction, as well as sodium hydroxide (0.304 mol) for 95% magnesium precipitation.
• Skills Gained: Simulation modeling, data analysis, problem-solving, and understanding of chemical processes in seawater treatment.

Numerical Analysis of Epidemic Spread Model :
• Objective: To solve ordinary differential equations (ODEs) for the SIR and SIRM epidemic models using MATLAB.
• Methods: Applied the Runge-Kutta method to simulate the spread of an epidemic over 31 days, and analyzed the impact of different recovery rates on the number of infected individuals.
• Results: Demonstrated how varying the recovery rate parameter affects the number of susceptible, infected, and recovered individuals, providing insights into epidemic dynamics and control measures.
• Skills Gained: Numerical analysis, MATLAB programming, differential equations, and modeling of complex systems.
